bits and pieces excised from the manuscripts. Most came from How to Vanish America, which started life as a 20,000 word story buried in 20,000 words of innane ranting. I apologize to those of you who suffered through those early versions -- my friends who nodded and smiled, then handed it back and said, simply, "Too many rants."

Still and all, the words were written, the thoughts set free, and the opinions valid. Maybe not very well formed or particularly meaningful, but I hope insightful, nonetheless.
